Al-Hakeem Affirms with Kirkuk Governor to Manage Diversity, Empower Local Governments, Advance Comprehensive Development
His Eminence Sayyid Al-Hakeem, Head of the National State Powers' Alliance, received at his office the Governor of Kirkuk and Head of the Turkmen Front, Mr. Mohammed Samaan. The meeting addressed the situation of Kirkuk Governorate and ways to deliver services to this governorate, which represents a microcosm of Iraq in its diversity and contribution.
H.E. affirmed that the sound governance of Kirkuk and success therein is a success for all of Iraq and its diversity, pointing to the importance of Turkmen representation in government positions.
H.E. called for granting local governments their constitutional and legal powers, stressing the necessity of investing in the governorate's agricultural, industrial, and tourism assets, in addition to its significance as an oil-producing governorate.
H.E. also stressed the importance of supporting districts and sub-districts, attending to service provision and urban development, and maintaining communication with all components, the provincial council, and the various institutions of the state.
