Sayyid Al-Hakeem Affirms to Expedite Government Formation, Activate Parliamentary Role to Support Governorates, Enact Service Legislation
His Eminence Sayyid Al-Hakeem, Head of the National State Powers' Alliance, met this evening with several members of the Iraqi Parliament, during which the two sides discussed developments in the political landscape in Iraq and the region, as well as upcoming entitlements.
H.E. affirmed the importance of expediting the formation of the government and supporting Mr. Ali Al-Zaidi in his mission, commending the parliament's role in supporting the stability achieved across all levels in the country.
H.E. pointed to the importance of parliamentary work in following up on the situation of the governorates, advocating for their rights, and supporting their local governments, stressing the necessity of enacting legislation carried over from previous parliamentary terms — particularly laws that directly bear on citizens and on the structure of the state and its institutions.
