بSayyid Al-Hakeem Calls to End Iran War, Resolve Crises Through Dialogue
His Eminence Sayyid Al-Hakeem, Head of the National State Powers' Alliance, met this morning with His Excellency the Ambassador of the Islamic Republic of Iran to Baghdad, Mr. Mohammed Kadhim Al Sadiq, during which the two sides addressed political developments in Iraq and the region, as well as ways to strengthen relations between Baghdad and Tehran.
H.E. Sayyid Al-Hakeem indicated that the Iraqi government's receipt of the Parliament's vote of confidence represents an important step toward ending the state of political deadlock, expressing hope for expediting the completion of the ministerial cabinet.
On the regional level, H.E. renewed his call for a complete halt to the war on the Islamic Republic of Iran and for resolving issues and crises through diplomatic means via constructive dialogue that preserves the dignity, stability, and sovereignty of states.
H.E. commended the response of the Iraqi people to the call of the Supreme Religious Authority in the relief campaign for the Iranian and Lebanese peoples, affirming that the Iraqi people set a leading example of solidarity and cohesion with their brothers and neighbors.
