Sayyid Al-Hakeem: Activating Iraqi-German Agreements, Turning Them into Work Programs Enhances Interests of Both Countries

His Eminence Sayyid Al-Hakeem, Head of the National State Powers' Alliance, received the German Ambassador to Baghdad, His Excellency Mr. Daniel Kriener, and discussed with him the bilateral relations between Baghdad and Berlin and the importance of strengthening them in a way that serves the interests of the two countries and the two friendly peoples, calling for making the most of the Prime Minister's recent visit to Germany and launching work programs for the agreements concluded, and welcoming the arrival of German companies for the experience, quality, and good reputation they possess.
H.E. pointed to the challenges of the Iraqi reality, affirming that Iraq suffers from a major economic challenge resulting from regional events that have affected the production and export of oil, which constitutes the backbone of the Iraqi budget, and stressing the need to draw lessons from the current crisis and work on diversifying the economy and the outlets for exporting oil to global markets.
H.E. renewed the call to resolve the issue of weapons outside the state through dialogue and understanding, in line with Iraqi mechanisms and timelines, explaining that resolving the issue of weapons outside the state is an Iraqi demand, a constitutional reality, and a national interest, while at the same time commending the efforts of all the countries that contributed to Iraq's security, political, and social stability.
